OUR HISTORY
San Juan Diego Catholic High School opened in August 2002 after Archbishop Gregory Aymond recognized the acute need for Catholic, college preparatory education in Austin. San Juan Diego Catholic High School (SJDCHS) is modeled after Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, where students work in entry-level positions in the corporate world to earn part of their tuition. San Juan Diego Catholic High School graduated its first class in 2006.
To date the school had graduated 15 classes of students and is proud of achieving 100% college acceptance rate for its graduating classes.
The new school was dedicated by Bishop Joe Vazquez on December 9, 2017 the Feast Day of San Juan Diego and opened for students in January 2018.
