Junior, Esteban, will be spending part of his summer at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Esteban has been invited to attend The Notre Dame Leadership Seminar during the month of July. The seminar invites diverse, highly creative rising high school seniors to explore and engage in a vibrant discourse with world-renowned Notre Dame faculty. Through a series of integrated themes and experiences, students participate in intellectual discourse and discovery through the lens of Catholic social teaching.
Juniors, Eduardo & Cesar, and sophomores, Dorris & Stephanie, were accepted to V2S2 (Vicente Villa Summer Scholars), a no-cost, intensive, four-week residential college-preparatory experience at Southwestern University in Georgetown. Exposure to the liberal arts and sciences, college readiness workshops, proper research techniques, creative works and other growth opportunities are core to the program’s mission.
Stephanie was also accepted to STEPS (The Science Training and Education Program at Southwestern). STEPS is similar to V2S2 with focus primarily on science and math courses, collaborative research experiences and community and skill-building activities for students who are interested in science and math.
