On January 20, 2025, Pope Francis named Bishop Joe S. Vásquez, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
As Bishop Vasquez embarks on his new journey as Archbishop, we, the community at San Juan Diego Catholic High School, want to honor the extraordinary impact he has had on our school. Through unwavering dedication and support, he has helped shape the hearts and minds of countless students, instilling in them the Catholic values of faith, service, and academic excellence.
To honor his legacy, we established the Archbishop Joe Vasquez Scholarship Fund to ensure that future generations of students benefit from the same support and inspiration that he so generously provided.
We treasure the assurance that Bishop's legacy will continue to enrich the lives of young people for years to come.
Bishop Vásquez will remain in Austin until his installation in Houston on March 25, 2025.
