Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Submitting a completed FAFSA is the first and most important step to receiving financial aid from colleges and universities. Parents and students will need to have their taxes for the prior year completed as early as possible in order to complete the FAFSA.
The FAFSA application becomes available on January 1st each year - that means this year's seniors will be able to complete and submit it beginning January 1, 2016 and the priority deadline to complete the FAFSA is March 1, 2016. You may complete the FAFSA online and read more information about this FREE application at http://www.fafsa.gov.
The College Counselor, Ms. Spadaro, is available to help parents and students fill out their FAFSAs in group sessions and individual appointments.
In addition, there are several organizations that help students and their parents complete and submit the FAFSA.

The program is a key element of the Chamber's regional matriculation effort aiming to increase direct-to-college enrollment from 61 percent in 2010 to 70 percent by 2015 to ensure our region is able to meet future talent demands (
